Party Season Fashion

So in a few weeks time it will be Christmas Party Season and the excitement / dread of finding a cool outfit begins!

So in true mummymagic style i thought i'd put a few of my favourite outfits on here that i would love my Fairy Godmother to whip up for me! I've got the pumpkin still on the doorstep for the carriage and i'm sure Buddy would make a fabulous white horse! I know i've already found my prince but what girl doesn't like a fancy party.

First up - its not glitzy, i know, but i really like the shape and style of this dress and also i do think you could wear it alot!!!

Its from Boden and its £79 - Womens-Winter-Audrey-Dress - I love the Navy and i would really accessorize with metallics!

I love these Pink Mirror Heels www.topshop.com £48 and this necklace i have ordered for my mum for Christmas - The Jewel Shack £38

Outfit 2.

I'm going sequins!

Love the look of this dress from Next  www.next.co.uk £65 i'd pair this dress with a plain black shoe - like the one in my wish list or these slightly more realistic version. The shoes are from www.dunelondon.com £79

Outfit 3.

I think RED - red is such a good colour and a great way to stand out!

This dress is an absolute bargain!!! £40 from www.asos.com. The model is wearing these shoes
www.asos.com £42 and i think these shoes will go with all the outfits!!!

Outfit 4.

Black leather look trousers £35 www.riverisland.com

A perfect trouser to wear at any time but i think they would look fab with a sequin top

 www.boden.co.uk £89                                               www.marksandspencer.com £19.50

www.johnlewis.com £65                                              www.topshop.com £29

Ok so last but not least i've found some fab little sparkly numbers

This dress is currently in the sale at a fabulous £20 www.matalan.co.uk

And this dress is £55 from www.dorothyperkins.com

Sleepover fun

Hello hello happy Tuesday everyone!

It was my bestest girl Sienna's 4th birthday party on Saturday and we decided to have a sleepover for her and She chose 3 friends to come along.

She had the bestest time!

Lucky Charms for Breakfast

Dream catchers craft activity and headbands

Birthday cake made by mummy

popcorn boxes waiting to be filled with freshly popped popcorn

Pink rose lemonade yum!
Decorate a torch craft activity

Tents all ready for sleepover fun

\
Party bags with fairy wings and wands and bubbles for the fairy hunt!

The girls decorated their torches and then we all went outside on a fairy hunt

Then it was time for happy birthday, ice-cream and cake

Doughnut ice cream sundae!

Movie time

Sleepy time

Sienna loved every second and keeps asking me to go on a fairy hunt again! She sat with her hand under her chin on sunday when her friends had left and said oh i'm so sad i have no friends left to have a party now, i'm so sad. It was definitely worth all the effort making the tents and the cake and all the other bits that went with it!

I got the tutorial for the tents from A Beautiful Mess blog the only difference being is i staple gunned the fabric to the edges of the frame as my sewing machine needs to go to sewing machine hospital at the moment so i couldn't sew them! I don't think it mattered as the girls loved them and got to take them home!

If your pondering on making a tent go for it! Its a lot easier then it looks!

Have a fabulous day everyone its Tuesday 8th October 2013 and there will never be another so make it count for something!!

Hooray its Tuesday!!!

Today is Tuesday 17th September and that is a very special little boys Birthday!

My little man is 2 today!!! Hooray!!! Happy Birthday Rocstar x

He really is the most amazing little boy in the whole wide world and i am the luckiest mummy ever!!

Sunday was the Party day and boy did Honey and Rocco have fun!!!

It was a rainy September 15th - which is the first rainy bday we've had (sad face) but the weather  held nicely in the right bits!!!

We had a Mickey and Minnie themed party! Rocco loves Mickey! he isn't really into much else no it was a no brainer to go for the theme!!! The main cakes are from Simply Cakes in Weybridge! Nick was questioning me on having two cakes - but if Honey and Rocco were born 6 months apart they wouldn't share a cake so why should they if they are only a day apart??!! Exactly!!!

Our amazing Mickey and Minnie balloons were from Jo-ann at Balloons Only.  She is amazing and always provides the best balloons!!!!

Honey loves and i mean loves the Ice Cream van!!!! Sooooooo i booked one for her party!!!! For the last 2 weeks i've been telling her that all the Ice Cream vans have gone to bed now as its cold out and no children go to the park!! (mean mummy) - but her face when she heard the Ice Cream Van coming up the drive was the best face i'd ever seen!!!

The children absolutely loved it!!! One little boy was like "wow Honey has her own real life Ice Cream Van at her own house!!!" brilliant!!!!

No Mickey and Minnie Mouse party is complete without dum dum dum ........

Simply WOW !!!!!! Honey said "its my birthday i can't believe you comed" and Sienna said "mummy, honey and my wish came true" absolutely melted our hearts!!!! Honeys friend Ben from Nursery was absolutely mesmerised by them!!! He just couldn't get enough of them!!! Its what little dreams are made off!!! So cute!!!

So whats a party if you don't have cupcakes??????

Sacha at Mabels Vintage Tea literally blew the ball out of the park with these amazing cupcakes!!!! Each cupcake topper was hand painted and when i say they are amazing they were!! but what was  more amazing was the taste!!!! The chocolate cupcakes were pretty damn special!!!!!!

Our girls are amazing!!!! And i do think Honey and Rocco had the best party ever!!!!!! It was all their favourite things and mine haha!!!!

So Happy Tuesday and Happy Birthday the most magical boy in the world

Tuesday's child is full of Grace

So its birthday month in our house- which means Party month!!

How hard is birthday party planning!!! From the theme, to who you invite, to the cake its all big decisions!!!

I remember my birthday parties when i was small - in the village hall, disco, magicians, cabbage patch kid cakes - and i remember them being so magical that i've always thought i want my children's parties to be filled with great memories!!

So as Rocco and Honey are a day apart i can easily have a joint party which is a big relief - however they are into completely different things! I toyed with a cupcake decoration party - but then this would only be for the older children - magicians again only for the 4 year olds - petting zoo again Rocco wouldn't be that bothered.

The Cakes - do they share a cake? have a cake each? just have cupcakes?

Party Bags - do you fill it with bits and bobs? get one nice thing? a book? a cupcake?

Bouncy Castle - do you get one with a slide? one with a roof for rain? a pink one?

Food - sandwiches? Hot Dogs? Picnic? Will the other mums think theres too many sweets?

Activities - Pass the Parcel (ends in tears), Fancy dress competition? Races? treasure Hunt?

Entertainment - Cupcake decorating? Magician? Enchanted Fairy? Disney Princess? Clown?

Dads have it kind of easy really Nicks just like get 1 cake, they don't need a party bag, any bouncy castle, sandwiches and crisps, pass the parcel and thats it! Job Done! Invite anyone. Alternatively lets just go to Euro Disney!

But as a mum .............. Can they have 1 cake if there are 2 of them? i wouldn't like to share a cake haha! They do need a party bag but what can i buy thats good quality for like £3 per child? we need a bouncy castle with a slide and roof and it needs to be red realistically , we need activities and we need a children's entertainer! Must invite long lost cousins aunt incase they see it on Facebook and get upset they didn't get the invitation! And the worrying doesn't end there!!! Even when they are opening their gifts from the party guests theres the mum manically writing who bought what so the thank you cards can be sent out the next day!

Its such a huge pressure!!!! But still generation after generation we still do it!!! And we still love it deep down!!!!

The look on Honey's face the morning of her party will be priceless and worth all the huge decisions that realistically we are the only ones that care about! I mean Honey doesn't care what bouncy castle it is or if theres 1 or 2 cakes! She would be happy with a bowl of ice cream and sprinkles and a candle in it! But me at the mum would feel guilty if there was no party!

Sooooooooooo this is what i've decided on!

We are having a party
We will have 2 cakes and Cupcakes! (i love cake!)
Party Bags will consist of 1 cool gift and a lovely cookie (well over budget but ho hum)
Bouncy Castle i have left to Nick to arrange (eeeek)
Food will be Hot dogs, sandwiches and picnic food and a plethora of sweets
I have arranged an entertainer (well 2)

I feel happy with my decisions - i hope everything goes to plan and i hope above all the Children enjoy it and have a magical day!

They are only young for such a short amount of time and when they are 10/12 are they really going to want a magician? So i say make the most of being in charge of the party before they can tell us what they want and what they don't hahah!!!

Can't wait to show you some pictures in 2 weeks time!!!

Presents for birthday parties

Party season is fast approaching here at a little mummy magic as our little girls and their friends turn the big 4! So this means we need to find presents for their little friends to take to their parties.

I dont know about you but i always feel a bit stressed about party presents. The average i would spend is about £10-£15 which to be honest doesn't stretch amazingly far these days and you don't want to buy something thats a bit rubbish and going to end up in the bin in a months time broken!

So here are my top picks for party presents...

I hope this helps if you were struggling for ideas! I think a classic game is always a good shout if your in a dash to buy something! You cant beat playing games with your family!
