No White after Labour day!

We are officially into September now and that means summer is over! I know i know i'm super sad too! It feels like summer barely got started and before we know it we are planning for halloween and christmas!

The Americans have a fashion rule 'No White after Labour day', which basically means pack up your whites as they are not welcome in your autumn/winter wardrobe! Labour day falls on the first Monday of September so unless you're to be a bride White is no longer considered acceptable attire till next spring.

So its time for lovely Autumn shades of creams, browns and comfy cosy outfits!

Me and Jade are off to visit our lovely friend Kim in Belfast today for the weekend we are super excited!

Anyways todays post... You may or may not have heard of a girly called Olivia Palermo?

If you have heard of her then you probably know what i'm going to say next but if you haven't... The girl can do no fashion wrong!

She is the epitome of style and class, and literally looks faultless all the time (yes we know we hate her too). She's probably my number 1 fashionista!

I was trying to find a look for this weeks fashion friday that would transition from late summer into autumn/winter and came across this look from Olivia...

I love this look! Its feminine, chic, easy to wear and more importantly, versatile! All the items in this look are things you could easily team with other items in your wardrobe.

Theres no way i would walk around all day in heels but you could wear this look with some ballet pumps and then into the colder weather with some thick tights and boots!

A black skirt is a fab wardrobe staple i didn't realise i was missing! A looser fitting above the knee length is flattering for all heights too!

You could wear heels if your feet can take it (i take my hat off to you) but for me with two little ones to run after i dont need to add anymore chance for incidents to my day! I struggle to dodge toys on the floor bare foot never mind in heels. So I would choose these classic pumps from office...

Add some gold wrist wear and your ready to go! Wear with some thick black tights and boots when it's colder and you can carry the look off long into winter! 

The black skirt is so easy to wear too and i bet you have lots in your wardrobes you could wear it with! T-shirt and converse, vest top and flip flops, shirt and heels? its super versatile and i think every girls wardrobe should own one.
