Today is 11 - 12 - 13 yippee how cool is that! And what a cool birthday to be born on - so to all mummy's having babies today - good luck xxx

Its Wednesday which means Present ideas!!!

So i've done all of my Christmas Shopping except for Nick!!! I find him really hard to buy for - so heres my top 10 list of presents for husbands hope theres some good tips for you!!

1. Golf Lessons - Nick is golf obsessed at the moment! So i think it would be nice for him to get some time out practicing and getting some tips from a pro!

2.  Clothes - Nick loves clothes so i was thinking about getting him a really nice jumper, he's mentioned a few bits in Abercrombie that he likes but i love this from Lyle and Scott £90 www.lyleandscott.com

3. Mousemat - I thought i would get Nick a mousemat with an up to date picture of the children on for his desk at work! Vistaprint do them for something silly like £4

4. Shoes - You can't go wrong with shoes - either going out, work or new Converse! Always a great mens gift in my opinion!!

5. Wall Calendar - I really like the idea (i hope he's not reading this and any friends of Nicks don't tell him!) but i like the idea of a wall calendar - but once month at the weekend setting aside a saturday or sunday for Nick to play golf! - So this idea basically costs nothing but it means i won't plan for us to do things on those weekends as they are a present to nick! And i might throw in a couple of vouchers for a round of golf too! - This is £22 from www.notonthehighstreet.com - Nice to do with Nicks friends wives too so they all get to play! maybe not once month but atleast a  couple of times they have a day arranged without having to ask us wife's for a golf pass haha!

6. Chocolate or Wine - Nick has specifically asked for a selection box in his stocking so thats easy!! But he also loves red wine - so maybe a nice bottle of vino! He also has started drinking scotch like an old man so i was thinking of something along those lines with a nice scotch crystal glass!

7. Its cold on the commute to town and a nice new scarf is always welcomed!!! Along with pants and socks haha! I really like this Ted Baker scarf £49 www.tedbaker.com

8. A Massage!!! I know most women don't think about getting their men massage's but i think its a nice treat! A time out from work and family! A bit of a relax and pamper for them is just what the Doctor ordered! There are so many deals on Groupon!!!

9. A new wallet or man bag - Nicks wallet he's had for 6 years now and he deco needs a new one! I love Paul Smith wallets! Prada and Gucci do lovely wallets to and they are miles cheaper at Bicester Village! They last for ages and they are a really lovely present!!!

10. Number 10 - so many choices from golf clothes, blazer, shirts, aftershave, kiehls moisturizer  etc but i'm going to go with ……. da da daaaaaa - Magazine subscription! no shock its going to be Golf haha - I think Nick would really enjoy reading a golf magazine once a month on the train - with tips and new products etc…. there are so many different magazines out there with loads of good deals!! Its the gift that keeps on giving!!!

Happy shopping for the man in your life

Thats cool - no its a cold and it won't go!

Eeeeurrrgggghhhhh its October - its chilly one day warm the next, the heating is on and then off etc... and the whole Tsamplakos clan have got colds!!!

Honey has had this horrible cold for a few weeks now and it just won't shift!!!

So i've decided we all need to be taking vitamins in this house (Nick included) I just can't deal with all the snot, calpol, thermometers, worrying!

So i've been doing a bit of research on the best vitamins for us as individuals!

For Honey (age 4) I am going to order

Floradix Kindervital from hollandandbarrett.com £9.05 for 250ml

Floradix Kindervital fruity is a delicious food supplement for children providing vital calcium and vitamin D which are needed for normal growth and bone development as well as the maintenance of normal teeth. Furthermore, the essential vitamins contained help with many important functions in the body, including the role of vitamins C, B6 and B12 in contributing to normal immune system.
As these nutrients are already dissolved, they are absorbed more quickly by the digestive system compared to tablets.
Floradix Kindervital fruity contains no alcohol, preservatives, colourings, artificial flavourings and is lactose free, gluten free and suitable for vegetarians.

The reviews look good - i didn't want to go down the chewy vitamin route i wanted something that was quickly absorbed!

For Rocco (age 2) I am going to order

Abidec Multivitamin Drops from chemistdirect.co.uk £3.89

Abidec Multiviamin Drops have been specially formulated to help meet the nutritional requirements of your children. It is particularly beneficial in the prevention of vitamin deficiencies. Given daily with the easy to use syringe, Abidec Multivitamin Drops provide the correct balance of vitamins to help maintain your child’s healthy growth and help prevent vitamin deficiencies. Given daily, Abidec provides the correct balance of vitamins to maintain your child's healthy growth.

I bought these for Honey when she was small but I didn't give them to her as i was hell bent on getting her all the vitamins in her food.  She didn't go to nursery and we were quite lucky really! However now Rocco and Honey are at Nursery i need to get some extra vitamins double quick!

For Nick (age 34) I am going to order

Wellman Original from vitabiotics.com £8.55

Wellman® Original contains a comprehensive formulation of over 29 essential bio-elements. Wellman® has been specially developed for men who want to maintain optimum nutrition levels while training, who want to help support reproductive health, or help maintain general health and vitality in an otherwise hectic lifestyle. Wellman® represents a simple solution as the advanced one-a-day tablets, unlike general multivitamins have safe and effective nutrient levels formulated especially for men.

I've heard lots of good things about Wellman - so i think we will try these first and see if Nick starts to get more energy!

And for Me i'm going for this

Floradix Floravital from hollandandbarrett.com £16.09 500ml

Floravital contains iron (in the form of iron gluconate), vitamins B2, B6, B12 and C which contribute to the reduction of tiredness and to normal energy yielding metabolism. Iron also contributes to normal red blood cell and haemoglobin formation which is supported by vitamins B6 and B12. Furthermore, vitamin C increases iron absorption.

As these nutrients are already dissolved, they are absorbed more quickly by the digestive system compared to tablets. Extracts from selected herbs and several fruit juices give Floravital a pleasant taste.
Floravital contains no alcohol, preservatives, colourings or artificial flavourings and is free from lactose, gluten and yeast.
Floradix is particularly beneficial for expectant and lactating mothers      and people with an active lifestyle.

To be fair after researching i think i will put Nick on Floradix liquid iron too! I think i prefer it and i like the fact that its a liquid!

So my top choices for the whole family are Floradix and Abidec (until Rocco is 3) then it will be Floradix all the way!

I will do a monthly update from when these arrive and let you know how we are all feeling!

If any of you have any favourites or think theres something better out there id love to know!

Love J
