ShopStyle

Pinch and a punch its the 1st of the month!

Whoop-de-doop its Friday again. The weeks are flying by it will soon be Christmas!

So todays fashion Friday i thought i would share an online shopping tip.

You know when you need something, say for instance a dress for a wedding or a new pair of boots? You will spend hours looking on all your fave websites searching and searching till you find something or don't find anything?

Well a fab website is www.shopstyle.com

You can basically search through hundreds of shops on just one website and narrow down your choices by colour, price size etc!

The thing i like about it is it may show up items from shops i may not have looked at or heard of and it saves so much time and effort.

Theres not just ladies fashion on there theres a whole heap of stuff like menswear, kidswear, homewards, beauty etc... Its really useful.

There is also an app available too you can download to your smartphone.

Add it to your favourites bar now lovely peeps!

Have a fabulous Friday

Recycle your summer dresses

Well lets face it its freezing outside now! Like really freezing and its super sucky! I hate having to wear a coat and take 9000 layers and accessories out and about with us and say goodbye to my flip flops!

How annoying is it taking winter footwear on and off, you have to sit down and pull your boots off rather than just release the flip flop and flick them off. I do realise that sounds ridiculous and lazy but its true!

Having said that though it is nice being all snuggly in a wooly jumper and wearing cosy tights! Theres something about Autumn fashion that makes you breathe a little sigh of relief and makes you feel comfortable!

No more summer dresses! Or so you think!! Here is a fab idea to recycle your summer dresses into Autumn.

Just take your summer dress and layer it up with a sweater over the top and add some tights and boots and your fit for an autumn day!

You could also try adding a long sleeved fitted top underneath some of your fave summer tops or add a nice chunky cardigan? It wont work for every dress or top but it would deffo work with some!

Give it a go mix and match and layer some items up and you might be surprised with some whole new outfits you never realised you had!

Autumn Fashion - Tights!

Hip Hip Hooray its Friday!!!

Whilst magazine browsing i saw the new Russell and Bromley ad and i loved the look !

Its a perfect work/school run/ sunday lunch/ date/ out with the girls universal look!
And in my opinion  everyone has got some items in their wardrobes to pull this off without actually having to spend very much!

Its more the tights i'm loving as a statement! So you could switch the skirt/jumper/shirt combo for a black casual dress with a statement necklace and if you wanted to wear heels to jazz up your day to night look that would work too!!

I've found these lovely tights from tightsplease.co.uk for £10.98

The rest of my copycat look comes from the wonderful Marks and Spencer's

I love this Cardigan

Its my mother-in-laws birthday today and i bought her the cream one - i hope she loves it x I think the jewelled collar means you don't need the white shirt!

So flattering and this skirt has appeared in this months Vogue!

Perfect dress! love it for day and night! Jazz up and Jazz down

A perfect autumn water resistant shoe

These are a perfect skirt/jeans/trousers/casual and smart boot! Just perfect!!

Eeeeek
Whilst browsing i also came across this lovely dress

I think this would be such a useful autumn dress - you can wear with flats, heels or boots!!!! Winner x

I'm off to the M&S Website to get ordering!!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend
Tomorrow is a fab Curry recipe (yumm)

Wedding Guest Fashion

Its another Wedding themed blog here - but Wedding fashion can be such a worry!!!!

To hat or not to hat that is the question!!!

I love a hat!! But i feel they are a little bit dated - there were fascinators a plenty but i decided on just fancy hair!! I went for a french plait side bun like this

If you did want a fascinator or hat Accessorize do some lovely ones!!

There is something magical about dress shopping in general!! I love it!! However like every shopping expedition if you actually need something you can never find it!!! So my top tip is start shopping early!

I bought this from Whistles its was £155 but my thinking was I would wear this dress lots! On holiday in the winter with black tights etc! (to be fair as per yesterdays polaroids you can see i didn't wear it but this was due to unforeseen circumstances haha)
Whistles really do do some lovely dresses! www.whistles.co.uk

This one is in the sale for £70 and i think its wedding guest perfection! They also do it in cobalt blue and grey!

I ended up wearing a black sequin Reiss dress! I know there is a big unwritten rule about not wearing black or obv white to a wedding! However i did ask the bride beforehand and she said it was her favourite colour and of course i could wear it! So hooray!!

This is the dress i wore - its in the sale now (booooo but fab if you like it)

French Connection also always have some fab dresses however i'm always worried with shops like FC, Coast, Ted Baker, Karen Millen etc that someone else will have the same dress on!!!

ASOS has sooooo many dresses that the chances of someone having the same is always low!! I love this dress from there

So all thats left to find is some shoes!!!!

I LOVE a zara shoe!!! And i love this one that i think goes perfectly with all the above dresses!

I love weddings and i love this quote to write in wedding cards!!! William Shakespeare knew exactly what he was talking about!!

Happy Friday

A black skirt

Happy Friday!

Me and Jade are off to visit our lovely friend Kim in Belfast today for the weekend we are super excited!

Anyways todays post... You may or may not have heard of a girly called Olivia Palermo?

If you have heard of her then you probably know what i'm going to say next but if you haven't... The girl can do no fashion wrong!

She is the epitome of style and class, and literally looks faultless all the time (yes we know we hate her too). She's probably my number 1 fashionista!

If your ever stuck for some style inspiration and like to look effortlessly chic just google image her name and you will find thousands of amazing outfits!

I was trying to find a look for this weeks fashion friday that would transition from late summer into autumn/winter and came across this look from Olivia...

I love this look! Its feminine, chic, easy to wear and more importantly, versatile! All the items in this look are things you could easily team with other items in your wardrobe.

Theres no way i would walk around all day in heels but you could wear this look with some ballet pumps and then into the colder weather with some thick tights and boots!

A black skirt is a fab wardrobe staple i didn't realise i was missing! A looser fitting above the knee length is flattering for all heights too!

Here's some similar items to create Olivia's look...

You could wear heels if your feet can take it (i take my hat off to you) but for me with two little ones to run after i dont need to add anymore chance for incidents to my day! I struggle to dodge toys on the floor bare foot never mind in heels. So I would choose these classic pumps from office...

Add some gold wrist wear and your ready to go! Wear with some thick black tights and boots when it's colder and you can carry the look off long into winter!

The black skirt is so easy to wear too and i bet you have lots in your wardrobes you could wear it with! T-shirt and converse, vest top and flip flops, shirt and heels? its super versatile and i think every girls wardrobe should own one.

Blazer: a wardrobe staple

A blazer is something that every wardrobe should own, male or female. Its the one staple piece that can be thrown on over practically anything and change the whole look instantly! Even the most basic looking jeans and t shirt can be transformed into a structured and stylish outfit just by adding a blazer!

The good thing about a blazer is it will last though all seasons! The same jacket can be worn over a summer dress and then over jeans boots and a jumper come winter. If you want a blazer that will be really versatile i would suggest buying one in a plain colour, but if you want something a bit more fun there are some gorgeous prints around at the moment.

Heres some of my fave blazers currently on the high street at the moment!

Hope you like
